A Police officer has suffered serious head injuries after allegedly being attacked while arresting a teenager in Sydney’s northern suburbs.
The Constable had come to the aid of a Dog Squad officer in Marsfield around 10pm on Monday.
The Dog Squad officer was patrolling Marsfield when he came across a person acting suspiciously in the vicinity of Balaclava Road and Epping Road.

The officer stopped his vehicle on Epping Road and approached the teenager, who allegedly became aggressive.
The Constable, along with his partner stepped in to help when the boy allegedly kicked him in the face, causing him to fall and hit his head on the road.
He was rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
The 16-year-old was arrested at the scene has been taken to hospital under police guard for assessment.
