A man with a violent history including a conviction for murder, is on the run in Victoria after breaching his parole.
John Douglas Hartwick was released from prison on parole on 1 November, however his parole was cancelled on 15 December due to him not complying with the release conditions.
When police stormed his Norlane home on Thursday night he could not be found, sparking a major search.

Police said the convicted crim, who recently broke his ankle and is reliant on wearing a moon boot to get around, had previously been convicted for murder, armed robbery, assault, firearms and drug offences.
A warrant has since been issued for his arrest.
Officers are urging anyone who sights Hartwick not to approach him, but to instead contact triple zero immediately.
