Gold Coasters are in for a treat when Bleach* the Gold Coast Festival rolls into town from April 17 – 28.
More than 44 cultural events are on the program at this year’s festival, many of which require and encourage audience participation.
So if you love to get involved, and are up for a bit of fun, here are the events worth checking out at Bleach* 2019:

Wild City: Workshop Series
Date: April 20, 22, 27, 28
Where: Various Locations
What: Wild City is a performance art project that invites you to engage creatively with wild nature, within our daily urban lives. Join Meredith Elton and sound, installation and movement collaborators, in a series of creative outdoor workshops at different sites and times across the city.
Nyala Bulahbu Gali
Date: April 22
Where: Dust Temple
What: A conversation, a ceremony, a cuppa tea, a song and a deeper understanding of Indigenous cultural frameworks by Kyle Slabb.
Date: April 26 & 27
Where: Gold Coast Aquatic Centre
What: Presented as an absurd swimming carnival, Landing is conducted over 24 hours with participants trying to swim the distance from Australia to Manus Island in a continuous relay, guided by people from the local migrant and refugee communities.

Where: Karma Collab Hub
What: A dynamic afternoon of conversation, questions and networking. Using The Long Table format, the conversation will delve into a range of issues and challenges that face women, particularly in the performing arts.
You Should Be Dancing Minis
Date: April 27 & 28
Where: Bleach* at Burleigh
What: Enjoy shiny, glitter-studded, mega mix of ultimate dance moves with a tropical twist! While the minis always steal the show (cuteness overload!), this is a fun event for the whole family.
