COOLY Rocks On is in full swing and festival organisers are gearing up for a massive long weekend of celebrations.
The annual festival features non-stop rock’n’roll, rockabilly, swing music, 1,300 custom and classic cars and hot rods on display, dancing in the streets, markets, live performances in the beachside marquee and much more..
Organisers are expecting more than 100,000 passionate fans to attend Cooly Rocks On this year, with devotees of ‘50s and ‘60s music and memorabilia travelling from around Australia and the world to attend.

Across the weekend, the streets will be fuelled with party atmosphere, glistening with chrome and swelling to the rhythm of rockabilly and rock’n’roll.
Retro markets, arts and crafts stalls and everything ‘cars’ will be on display, along with a massive Harley Davidson precinct and the chance to win a Harley Davidson Street 500 motorcycle.
More than 50 rock’n’roll bands will also play at venues throughout the Cooly Rocks On precincts of Coolangatta, Kirra and Tweed Heads over the weekend, alongside a line up of star-studded international artists.
Locals thinking of heading along this weekend are being encouraged to use the Park’n’Ride. Buses will leave the Tugun Community Centre (off the Gold Coast Highway) and the corner of Lord and Musgrave Streets Kirra, travelling to and from the festival between 8am and 6pm.
