A police officer has been slashed with a box cutter whilst trying to arrest a man on the NSW mid north coast.
The attack occurred around 5.20pm yesterday, when police were called to investigate a domestic incident and break and enter at Bowraville.
Whilst trying to speak with a man, he allegedly produced a box cutter and slashed the forearm of a male senior constable.

After a struggle, the man was tasered and arrested.
He has since been charged with aggravated break and enter with intent, detain for advantage, use weapon to avoid apprehension, assault police causing actual bodily harm, and resist arrest.
