Cop charged with throwing object at motorcyclist, causing him to crash
A NSW police officer has been charged after he allegedly hurled an object at a motorcyclist, causing him to crash in Sydney’s south.
The incident occurred while the Senior Constable was performing random breath tests along Hannahs Road at Narwee on Friday 6 November last year.
It’s alleged the officer threw an object at the rider, causing him to subsequently crash.
The rider suffered minor injuries.
Yesterday, the officer was served with a Future Court Attendance Notice for the offence of ‘intentionally throw object at vehicle / vessel – risk safety’.
The officer, who is attached to a specialist command, is due to appear before Bankstown Local Court on 7 September.
