Cop pulled over grieving man for speeding – what he did next will touch your heart

A US police officer is being praised online for his heart-warming act of kindness.

Mark Ross had just received a phone call no one ever wants to receive – he had been advised that his teenage sister had been killed in a car accident.

Immediately, he jumped in the car and began speeding down the highway, when he was pulled over after being clocked driving over the speed limit.

Instead of being issued a fine or taken into custody for an outstanding arrest warrant, the police officer offered to drive him more than 160km to be with his family.

“At 3am I got a phone call stating that my sister had been killed in a car accident,” Mr Ross posted on Facebook.

“I haven’t slept and instantly got on the road. Of course we were speeding, trying to get back to Detroit. And we got pulled over in Ohio. I knew I was going to Jail due to a petty warrant.

“The police called Wayne county and they refused to come get me because of the distance. I explained to the officer that my sister had died and that I needed to get to my mother asap.

“I broke down crying and he saw the sincerity in my cry. HE REACHES OVER AND BEGAN PRAYING OVER ME AND MY FAMILY.

“He offered to bring me 100 miles further to Detroit because they towed the vehicle. Everybody knows how much I dislike Cops but I am truly Greatful for this Guy. He gave me hope.”

The Facebook post has received more than 131,000 shares and hundreds of comments since being posted on Sunday.

“He sends Angels in times of need. That man was sent to hear your story and pray over you! My deepest condolences,” one person commented.
