A police officer’s arm was slashed while trying to arrest woman in Helensvale overnight.
Around 10:20pm, officers attended a residence in Corinda Place following reports of a disturbance.
It’s alleged officers were trying to arrest a 20-year-old woman when she attacked a male officer, cutting his arm with a kitchen knife.

The officer was taken to Pindara Hospital for treatment of a laceration to his forearm.
The 20-year-old Helensvale woman has been charged with one count of serious assault police causing bodily harm whilst armed.
She is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
