WATCH: Cops find replica guns, drugs in car after Main Beach crash
Investigations are underway after police uncovered replica guns, a taser, and drugs in a car that was involved in a crash on the Gold Coast early this morning.
Emergency crews were called to Waterways Drive in Main Beach around 1.15am, following reports a Maxda 3 had lost control and smashed into a concrete wall before coming to a stop in the middle of the road.
Upon arrival at the scene, police said officers “observed the driver to be affected by a substance”.
It prompted police to search the vehicle, allegedly finding a large quantity of restricted prescription drugs, cannabis, three gel blaster type firearms, a replica handgun and a handheld taser.
The driver, an 18-year-old man, was arrested at the scene.
Investigations are ongoing.
