Cops pull over semi-trailer full of marijuana in Victoria

POLICE have uncovered several pounds of marijuana packed in the back of a semi-trailer they pulled over in regional Victoria.

Officers intercepted the prime mover as it was travelling east along Ararat Road around 12.10am this morning.

Police searched the vehicle and located approximately three pounds of cannabis and a stash of cannabis buds.

The 51-year-old driver from Clovelly Park in South Australia was arrested and charged with trafficking and possessing cannabis.

He was granted bail to appear before Stawell Magistrates’ Court on 8 November.
