Coronial inquest into Tiahleigh Palmer’s final moments begins today

A coronial inquest will begin today in the hopes of revealing more about the death of 12-year-old Tiahleigh Palmer.

The Logan schoolgirl’s body was found on the banks of the Pimpama River back in 2015.

Her foster father Rick Thorburn is currently serving a life sentence after pleading guilty to the murder.

However, to this day he has never revealed exactly how he killed her.

A two-day long coronial inquest will begin from 10.00 am today, where Thornburn will be compelled to give evidence.

Other members of his family and leading detectives will also be interviewed.
