There will also be cattle classes on show, catering for dairy and beef cattle as well as a Junior Handlers Section which is open to children from 8 years.
For the gardeners there is a range of classes in which to enter your valued vegetables and flowers. The flower arranging class is always well-contested with keen locals happy to display their prize blooms. The vegetables are also a great source of pride in our rural community and you can view the best of the best in the main pavillion just before sideshow alley.
If you are good with your hands and able to paint, cook or create beautiful things out of anything, take a look at the fine arts, cookery, photography or needlework classes – Some beautiful paintings and sumptous looking cakes are entered each year. Many of the paintings are also for sale from the artists.
And of course it wouldn’t be a country show without some woodchopping too.
