Couple charged after cocaine found in baby’s system
An Arizona couple have been charged with child abuse after their baby tested positive for cocaine.
Oro Valley Police say that officers were called to the Banner University Medical Center last month after being informed that a four month-old baby had been found to have cocaine in its system.
Following investigations, police charged the infants parents, who are well-known TV reporters, with possession of a dangerous drug, drug paraphernalia and child abuse.
According to local media, the 26-year-old mother breast-fed the infant 12 hours after doing cocaine at a party.
The baby was admitted to hospital after it became unwell following the feed, People Magazine reports.
