Couple charged after tip-off leads police to ‘drug house’ on the Gold Coast

A MAN and a woman have been arrested and charged with multiple drug offences after police raided a house at Ormeau, on the northern Gold Coast.

Officers raided the Lancelot Crescent home Wednesday after receiving a tip-off from a member of the public.

During a search of the property, officers allegedly found one kilogram of cannabis Sativa, three grams of the drug ice and an assortment of drug paraphernalia.

Officers also allegedly found evidence of ongoing drug supplies to people on the northern end of the Coast.

A 47-year-old man arrested at the Ormeau home has been charged with one count of trafficking in a dangerous drug, two counts of possession of a dangerous drug and one count each of possession of things used in the connection of a drug crime and possession of pipes.

A 47-year-old woman was also arrested at the address and has been charged with one count of possession of a dangerous drug and one count of possession of a pipe.

The couple are due to face Southport Magistrates Court on August 2.
