A MAN and a woman have been rushed to hospital with life-threatening burns to 70 percent of their bodies following a horror house fire in Sydney’s north.
The couple and an eight-year-old girl were reportedly trapped in the two-storey house which went up in flames on Zanco Road at Marsfield just after 4pm on Wednesday.
Neighbours and passersby braved the flames and pulled the man, woman and child from the burning home before firefighters arrived.

A man believed to be aged in his 40s and a woman in her 20s suffered horrific burns to 70 percent of their bodies and were rushed to Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital.
Police said both the man and woman were listed as being in critical conditions, while the child was taken to hospital with less serious burns.
A second man believed to be aged in his 20s is also believed to have been in the home at the time the fire started but managed to escape the inferno unharmed.
Multiple fire trucks were dispatched to the scene where firefighters spent hours battling the blaze, which devoured the Zanco Road home.
Scores of uniformed and plain-clothed police are also on the scene as investigations into the cause of the fire get underway.
