Couple detained at border crossing after reports drugs were found in their van

Two people have been detained at the Gold Coast border this morning, after police reportedly found drugs in the vehicle.

Their van was stopped at the checkpoint around 6.00pm because they didn’t have a border pass, and were pulled over for further questioning.

Channel 9 reports that police then searched the vehicle, allegedly finding a quantity of drugs.

A man and woman were seen in cuffs at the scene, but charges are yet to be laid.

Queensland Police have confirmed to myGC that two people have been detained.

One of the good things coming out of this border closure is the amount of drugs being intercepted at the border check points.
Good work by the Police catching these low life’s entering QLD.

Just asking for it. I bet they simply thought they could get away with it, or did it on a dare.
