Couple seriously injured in single vehicle crash near Nowra

A man and a woman have been seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash near Nowra, on the New South Wales South Coast.

The accident occurred in Woollamia at around 4.30pm on Saturday.

Police said a Subaru Impreza sedan was travelling west along Woollamia Road when it crossed onto the wrong side of the road and struck a concrete culvert.


The 36-year-old female driver and 33-year-old male passenger were seriously injured.

They were both treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital with but non-life threatening injuries.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are underway.

Police are urging any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are urged to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
