Court hears details of terrifying “Wolf Creek” style attack in Queensland
SHOCKING details have today emerged of a terrifying “Wolf Creek” style attack in rural Queensland where a German tourist was abducted, sedated and repeatedly raped while cable tied to a bed – her body then dumped on the side of the road.
It’s alleged a 47-year-old Brisbane man abducted the 20-year-old German backpacker who’d caught a night bus to the Stanthorpe area on August 13, near the Queensland-New South Wales border, after she’d responded to an online job advertisement for a nanny.
Details of the sickening attack were revealed for the first time in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
The court heard the man allegedly threatened the woman with a knife after she’d gotten off the bus and forced her into his car.
He drove to a shed approximately 30km southwest of Stanthorpe where he allegedly fed the woman with chocolate laced with Stilnox before cable tying her to a bed and repeatedly raping her.
After the ordeal, the man allegedly dumped the woman’s sedated body on the side of the road.
Terrified, she managed to make her way to a nearby property where she was found around 7am the following day.
The man’s been charged with a series of offences, including kidnapping, rape, and deprivation of liberty.
He fronted court this morning where he was refused bail to reappear on November 24.
