Covert cops catch online child sex predator in NSW

DETECTIVES posing as a 14-year-old school girl online have arrested a man after he allegedly asked to meet the child for sex.

Covert officers from the Child Exploitation Internet Unit began engaging with the 48-year-old man online in April this year.

Believing he was speaking with a 14-year-old girl, the man allegedly made several sexually explicit remarks and requested they meet up for the purpose of sexual activity.
