UPDATE 11:45AM | TRAFFIC has been thrown into disarray on the Gold Coast’s Pacific Motorway following two separate crashes this morning.
The first accident occurred in the southbound lanes near the Wet’n’Wild theme park around 11am.
Although the wreckage of this crash has since been cleared, it is still causing major delays for motorists heading south, with traffic backed up to Pimpama.

The second accident occurred around 11.30am after several cars came together in the southbound lanes at Nerang.
There are reports as many as six cars may have been involved in this collision.
Traffic is now beginning to build in this area, with bumper-to-bumper conditions for around four kilometres.
Motorists have been urged to steer clear of both scenes and to seek an alternate route if possible.
