Crash between Sydney and Wollongong claims second life

A second man has died after a crash between Sydney and Wollongong last weekend.

Two cars collided on Walker Street, Helensburgh early on Sunday.

Police say an 18-year-old male passenger in a Nissan Skyline died after it crashed into the rear of a tipper truck.

The 25-year-old driver was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to St George Hospital.  That’s where he died on Tuesday 20 June.

Officers from Crash Investigation Unit attended to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
