A bushfire has broken out on the northern Gold Coast with nearby residents urged to keep up to date.
The blaze is burning behind the quarry at Luscombe.
It’s travelling in a south west direction towards Shaws Pocket Road, Soper Way, Needham Road, Halls Road and Harts Road.

Four fire crews are currently on scene battling the blaze while a number of other crews are on their way.
Waterbombing aircraft have also been called in to help.
No properties are under threat at the moment however QFES is urging residents to stay informed and decide what they will do if things worsen.
