LATEST @ 2.00 PM | Four people have managed to escape a ferocious fire that has completely destroyed a waterfront home on the Gold Coast this afternoon.
The massive blaze erupted at a home on Rannock Avenue in Benowa Waters around 12.40pm, with emergency services receiving multiple triple zero calls.
Upon arrival, they found the single-storey property “well-involved” and immediately leapt into action.

Video supplied to myGC shows the roof of the property caving in as flames engulf the home, with neighbour’s also seen battling to defend their own homes with garden hoses.
Four people, who are believed to have been working from the address, thankfully managed to get out just in time.
A QFES spokesperson confirmed the fire has now been brought under control, with crews remaining on scene dampening down “hot spots”.
Queensland Ambulance Paramedics also remain on standby for fire crews.

The blaze erupted at a home on Rannock Avenue in Benowa around 12.30pm on Friday.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokesperson told myGC the property was “well-involved” upon arrival.
At least three fire crews are on-scene, with the spokesperson confirming firies are searching the property for residents.
Queensland Ambulance Paramedics have also been tasked to the address.
It’s not yet known if anyone has been injured.
