UPDATE @ September 6 2017 12pm | At least eight crews are working to contain a big bushfire burning for a second day at Cedar Creek, near Tamborine.
The blaze broke out near Jourdana Drive and Rowe Lane and Lanes Road and Elevation Drive in Wongawallan, around 7am on Tuesday.
A water bombing aircraft was used on Tuesday in a bid to keep the fire contained.

It is now travelling north, but no properties are being threatened.
However, there is a lot of smoke in the air again today and it’s drifting across the northern end of the Coast.

EARLIER @ September 5 2017 4.20pm | A family has returned to their Gold Coast Hinterland home to find fire crews battling to save it.
They were reportedly enjoying a day out at Movie World when a neighbour called to inform them they had spotted smoke billowing out of the house.
Fire crews were also called and rushed to the Landman Court property at Clagiraba just before 2pm.
They managed to get the blaze under control within 25 minutes, but the home had suffered severe smoke damage.
