Crews extinguish ‘low intensity’ bushfire in Coomera

8.30PM UPDATE: Fire crews have successfully extinguished a ‘low intensity’ bushfire burning in Coomera. (PICTURE: Wasp Creek RFB)

Multiple crews were first called to the blaze burning on Colman Road, Coomera at around 4.20pm on Saturday afternoon.

The fire was causing plenty of smoke in the area as crews worked to douse the flames. The incident was ‘closed’ at around 8.30pm.

The fire caused no threat to people or property.

It’s believed the fire started as a result of a vehicle fire. Police are conducting further inquiries.
