Crews monitoring bush fire in Gold Coast Hinterland

Fire fighters are still on scene monitoring a bush fire in the Gold Coast Hinterland, which broke out yesterday afternoon.

It broke out just after 3.00pm on inaccessible land east of Armitage Creek, and prompted an advice warned for the wider area.

It was moving in an easterly direction towards Outlook Avenue and North Road, though no wasn’t threatening any properties.

This morning, flames are believed to have died down slightly, though crews remain on scene.

Residents in the area are being warned that there is a bit of smoke still around, and they can keep up to date through the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services website or Facebook page.
