Pedestrians and motorists travelling through Main Beach are being urged to use caution, with a big water leak happening in the area.
A pump station has begun leaking along Waterways Drive this morning, with only local traffic currently being let through.
Council has advised that traffic control will remain on scene for today, but repair works won’t get underway until this evening.

It’s expected to take several hours, and involve the use of various machinery, which could mean a bit of noise for nearby residents.
Properties along Rankin Parade will be notified regarding noise and traffic control.
It’s understood some residents have experience water issues, and a tanker is on site to provide water in the meantime.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to avoid the area if possible.
