Massive delays on the M1 after truck crash that trapped driver
MOTORISTS are being warned of massive delays on the M1 after a truck crash through Helensvale.
It happened in the southbound lanes at the Hope Island Road exit around 9.30am.
Queensland Police had to shut down all but one lane as firefighters worked the free the driver, who was trapped inside the truck.
Queensland Ambulance has confirmed he has since been freed and has been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Tow trucks have worked to remove the truck from the motorway but motorists are being warned of delays for some time.
Currently, traffic is backed up past Pimpama.
