The Cricket Australia board has accepted the resignation of Chairman David Peever after backlash from the organisation’s culture review.
It comes only a week after Mr Peever was unanimously re-elected at Cricket Australia’s annual general meeting last Friday.
It’s understood he lost support from one of the State Associations, prompting his resignation.

Earl Eddings has been appointed interim Chairman.
The move comes as the Australian Cricketers Association continues to push for the removal of bans for Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft.
The players union says Cricket Australia has to take some responsibility for the events leading up to the ball-tampering scandal.
Smith and Warner are serving 12-month long bans while Bancroft copped a 9-month removal from the game.
