FOLLOWING negotiations with the Australian and Indian cricket boards, the schedule of cricket season has been revealed.
Cricket Australia has announced that the order and dates of the Tests will be:
Adelaide — December 9-13
Brisbane — December 17-21
Melbourne — December 26-30
Sydney — January 6-10.
Australia was due to host India in the first Test of the four-match series in Brisbane on Thursday, but Cricket Australia chief executive officer, James Sutherland announced last week that the match wouldn’t start as scheduled because players needed time to deal with the shock death of Hughes.

“Nobody should underestimate just what these players are going through right now,” Sutherland said.
“These are difficult days and we need to support them in dealing with their grief.”
“It’s very clear that playing a Test right now is just too soon and we are reacting accordingly.”
Cricket Australia said the revised timing allowed for a three-day break leading into the Brisbane Test and a four-day break ahead of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne for players to adequately prepare.
