Crime scene declared after body found in street

A CRIME scene has been declared in Brisbane’s north following the discovery of a body in a street.

It’s understood a member of the public made the discovery on Barfoot Street at Bracken Ridge on Saturday morning.

In a statement, Queensland Police confirmed the body of a 27-year-old man from the neighbouring suburb of Deagon was found in the quiet culdesac about 5.45am.

It’s understood police are investigating whether the man may have died from a drug overdose at another location before his body was dumped in the street.

Police have confirmed they are treating the man’s death as suspicious and are calling on anyone with information to come forward.

A crime scene was established on Barfoot Street and examined by forensic investigators on Saturday.
