POLICE are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body, found in a shed at a home in the NSW Riverina.
In a statement released only a short time ago, a NSW Police spokesperson confirmed officers made the grim discovery at a house on Kookora Street in Griffith around 4.20am on Sunday.
Officers were at the home, following up “reports of a concern for welfare” when they found the body of a 27-year-old in a rear shed, the statement said.

Police have confirmed they are treating the woman’s death as suspicious and have set up a crime scene at the home.
Around five hours later, police arrested a 35-year-old man for allegedly breaching an apprehended violence order.
While the man’s connection to the case is not clear, police say the nature of his relationship with the deceased woman would form part of their investigation into her death.
