Crime scene declared after man found stabbed to death at caravan park

A MAN has been stabbed to death at a caravan park in Bundaberg, north of Hervey Bay.

The man’s body was found lying on a mattress at the Kensington caravan park on Thursday morning.

It’s understood a resident of the Childers Road park made the grisly discovery around 7am.

The victim, believed to have been aged in his mid-40s, reportedly suffered several stab wounds.

Operation Papa Gosling has been established to investigate the death.

A 46-year-old man has been taken into custody and is assisting police with their inquiries, News Corp reports.

The caravan park has been declared a crime scene which is being examined by local and forensic police.
