Cronk concerns ahead of NRL Grand Final

The Sydney Roosters will meet the Melbourne Storm in next week’s NRL Grand Final with an injury cloud over veteran playmaker Cooper Cronk.

The Tri-Colours battled for a tough 12-4 win over South Sydney last night in front of a record crowd at Allianz Stadium.

Cronk is in doubt to play against his old team after a dodgy late hit.

The Queensland and Australian rep struggled for the remainder of the game clutching his shoulder intermittently.

Roosters Coach Trent Robinson insists his team will be ready to tackle the Storm, who are aiming to be the first team to win back-to-back premierships.

“There’s a cog or two more to go for us. We haven’t stopped improving all year, and we’ve got a week left for improvement,” he said.

“A big part of this week will be allowing us to be proud of what we’re doing, but make sure we go another step for next week.

“I know we’ve got that left in us.”
