Currumbin skater excels in Brazil

CURRUMBIN youngster Keegan Palmer has smashed the competition to win his Amateur category at the fourth annual Red Bull Skate Generation in Brazil.

The 11-year-old also claimed No.1 in the Team Challenge at what is considered one of the biggest backyard skate events in the world.

Set to the classic RTMF Bowl backyard bowl of world champ Pedro Barros, on the stunning island of Florianopolis, Keegan joined a lineup of the biggest names in skate including Jeff Grosso, Pat Ngoho, Rune Glifberg, Omar Hassan, Sandro Dias and Felipe Foguinho.

“It was mad being part of such an awesome competition,” Keegan said. “And winning was amazing,” he added.

“Brazil is beautiful and it’s great to get back to Pedro’s backyard bowl again.”
