‘Customer’ caught up in 7/11 robbery was actually an accomplice in on the job, police allege

A ‘CUSTOMER’ who was seemingly caught up in an armed robbery on the Gold Coast two months has today been charged after it was revealed he was allegedly involved in the heist.

The 22-year-old man from Merrimac is accused of distracting staff at a 7/11 store on Elysium Road in Carrara on Monday, April 2 while a man from Rockhampton robbed the place.
