Cy Walsh found ‘Not Guilty’ of murdering AFL coach father Phil Walsh
Cy Walsh has been found not guilty of murdering his father, prominent AFL coach Phil Walsh.
The verdict was handed down in the South Australian Supreme Court this morning, with the judge formally ruling that Cy Walsh was mentally incompetent at the time of his fathers death.
The 27-year-old had earlier pleaded not guilty to murder, citing mental incompetence, a plea prosecutors accepted last month.
Phil Walsh was repeatedly stabbed in his home at Somerton Park in Adelaide on Friday July 3, 2015.
