Cyclist hospitalised after car crash on the Gold Coast
A cyclist has been hospitalised after getting knocked off his bike by a car in Southport this morning.
Paramedics were called to Queen Street near Brighton Parade around 7.51am.
They briefly treated the adult male for hip pain at the scene, before transporting him to hospital.
Its believed to have also suffered a minor head injury.
Reports suggest the car involved in the crash, a taxi, collided with the bike after it ran a red light.
He’s been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
