Cyclist killed in horror collision with 4WD in NSW

A cyclist has died after colliding with a 4WD south of Wollongong today.

Police said that just after 7.00am, police and emergency services were called to a crash on Wattle Road at Shellharbour.

The cyclist, a man aged in his 50s, died at the scene.

The driver of the 4WD escaped injury and was taken to Wollongong Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Investigations into how the crash occurred are ongoing.
