Dad charged after son stabbed during domestic dispute

UPDATE:  A FATHER has been charged after allegedly stabbing his son during a domestic dispute on the state’s Mid North Coast last night.

Emergency services were called to a home on Bellwood Road, Nambucca Heads, following reports that a man had been stabbed.

On arrival officers found a 33-year-old man suffering a stab wound to his neck.


He was treated by Paramedics at the scene before being taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital where he is currently listed as critical but stable.

A 58-year-old man was arrested at the home before being taken to Macksville Police Station.

Following investigations, he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (DV) and reckless wounding (DV).

He was granted conditional bail to appear before Macksville Local Court on Thursday 8 October 2015.

EARLIER: A FATHER has been arrested after his son was stabbed during a domestic dispute overnight.

Emergency services rushed to a residence in Nambucca Heads on Monday night following reports of a stabbing.

On arrival, the found a 33-year-old man with a stab wound to his neck.

He was rushed to the Coffs Harbour Hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

The 58-year-old father was arrested at the home and is assisting detectives with inquiries.
