POLICE have released dashcam footage of the suitcase found on the side of a South Australian highway containing the remains of a young girl, who died ‘a violent and terrible death’.
The footage which was recorded in May and June this year, evidently shows the suitcase had been moved before it was found by police on July 14.
The battered suitcase was first seen sitting in dirt just off the bitumen of the highway and then was later seen further up the embankment sitting on the grass.

Police had previously stated that the suitcase had been looked through prior to them discovering it and have appealed for that person to come forward, stating that they have not done anything wrong.
‘The person who emptied the suitcase has done nothing wrong. They have stopped like everybody else, curious at what they have seen, opened the suitcase and topped it out,’ Det Supt Bray said.
In August a witness came forward stating that he had seen a ‘well-kept’ man, believed to be aged in his early 60s, emerging from scrubland along the highway in late May.
The search for the mystery man continues as police attempt to identify the young girl, whose skeletal remains were found inside the case alongside clothing.
