UPDATE: DALY Cherry-Evans has backflipped on his contract with the Gold Coast Titans, signing a ‘lifetime contract’ with the Manly Sea Eagles.
“As long as Daly is playing NRL football he’ll be here at Manly,” Sea Eagles CEO Joe Kelly said in announcing the news on Wednesday afternoon.
In speaking at the media conference Cherry Evans expressed that “The opportunity to stay here and be a one-club player” inticed him to stay at the club.

“In rugby league job security isn’t something many people have.
“It’s something I’ve been offered, and something I’ve been willing to take up.”
EARLIER: DALY Cherry-Evans has reportedly back flipped on his contract with the Gold Coast Titans.
The star halfback will reportedly remain at Manly until the end of the 2018 NRL season with a deal rumoured to be worth $3.5 million.
The Sea Eagles have called a media conference for 1pm for “a major club announcement”, expected to be the Cherry-Evans deal.
