Death of Gold Coast nurse Lisa Davey ‘not suspicious’

Police have ruled the death of a Gold Coast nurse who was found with massive head injuries at Arundel, is not suspicious.

Lisa Davey, 37, was found unconscious in the driveway of her unit complex on Callistemon Court at 6.45pm on Thursday, with mystery surrounding how she suffered her injuries.

Ms Davey passed away at the Gold Coast University Hospital the following day.

Her death left her family and former colleagues at the hospital devastated.

Police at the time described her ‘unexplained life-threatening head injury’ as consistent with ‘blunt force trauma’ or a major car accident.

A post mortem has now been completed with Police now finalising their investigation.

A report will now be prepared for the Coroner.

Ms Davey had recently resigned from GCUH, with plans to move to Cairns.
