Parts of the Pacific Motorway have been brought to a standstill this afternoon due to debris on the road.
According to the Department of Traffic and Main Roads, the debris is in the northbound lanes around Gaven.
The Queensland Government’s traffic website states that lanes have been reduced as a result of the litter, with motorists being urged to proceed through the area with caution.

It’s causing chaos for afternoon motorists, with traffic currently banked up from Gaven back to Worongary.
There’s also reports of timber debris adjacent to the Exit 89 on ramp northbound at Burleigh Heads, with delays expected there as well.
