Delay in committal hearing for ex-Bond Uni criminologist

DELAYS in the committal hearing for a former Bond University lecturer, accused of indecently dealing with girls under 17.

Former head of criminology Paul Wilson spent the past two days in the Brisbane Magistrates Court as an alleged witness gave testimony against him.

The 73-year-old is facing six charges of indecently dealing with girls under 17 in the 1970s.

A decision on whether he would face trail was due to be made yesterday, but the Brisbane Times reports, there was not enough time to hear from all witnesses.

Four witnesses were to testify during the two-day hearing, but both days were taken up by the evidence of the first witness, who is one of the two complainants.

The hearing was adjourned to May 1, which is the next available court date.
