Delays after truck, car smash on Smith Street

12.20PM: MOTORISTS heading into Southport on the Smith Street Motorway can expect some delays this afternoon following a two vehicle crash involving a truck. 

The accident happened around midday in the eastbound lanes just before the Olsen Ave Exit, bringing traffic to a standstill.

It’s understood a car was struck by a truck just prior to the intersection.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area if possible.
