Delays expected as GC 600 track construction takes place

WITH just days to go until V8s take over Gold Coast streets, locals are dealing with the usual traffic snarls.

Construction of the Gold Coast 600 track is leading to build ups through Main Beach and Surfers Paradise, especially in the morning and afternoon peak runs.

Drivers are urged to head west and use Bundall Road/Bermuda Street or the other major connection roads to get to their destination.

EALRIER: THERE’S been a multi-vehicle accident on the Gold Coast Highway at Palm Beach.

Emergency crews have managed to clear the scene, but there are still some slight delays northbound towards 25th Ave.

Other local majors are also starting to build.

It’s slow moving north on Bermuda Street from Markeri Ave to Monaco Street.

Also seeing the usual stop-start conditions on Ross Street northbound to the Ashmore Road round-about.

On the M1 it’s bumper to bumper northbound from Tugun to Burleigh.

Also under speed as you head into Brisbane, from Loganholme to Rochedale South.

The Logan Motorway is slow westbound from Kingston to the Gateway Exit.
