Update @ 2.00pm: One man has been confirmed dead, after a rescue operation in Sydney’s north-west today. It’s believed two men became trapped on a construction site in Macquarie Park around midday.
Emergency services were called to the Epping Road site after scaffolding had collapsed on the two workers.
Both Firefighter crews and paramedics worked to try to rescue the workers.

Sadly, one worker died at the scene. The other has been taken to Royal North Shore Hospital.
A crime scene has been established and investigations are underway.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
Earlier @ 12.30pm: TWO people are believed to be trapped on a construction site in Sydney’s north-west.
A delicate rescue operation is currently underway to rescue the people, who are stuck under a large amount of fallen scaffolding in Macquarie Park.
Firefighters are assisting New South Wales Ambulance with the rescue at the site on Epping Road.

The incident was reported to emergency services around midday today.
A ‘delicate rescue operation’ was still underway at the time of writing.
