Desperate search after firearms and ammunition stolen from NSW home

Police are desperately appealing for information after 15 firearms and 200 rounds of ammunition were stolen from a home in the NSW Hunter Valley.

Sometime between Thursday 31 August and Monday 2 October, unknown persons entered a home at Appletree Flat.

Police said the thieves forced entry to a safe and stole nine shotguns and six rifles, as well as ammunition.

It comes after 17 firearms were stolen from three secured safes at a home at Corowa, sometime between Saturday 30 September and Monday 2 October.
