Missing Sydney girl found following land and air search

UPDATE @ 1.30 PM | An 11-year-old girl missing from Sydney’s south has been found.

The young girl disappeared about 7.30am today, near Amaroo Street at Sylvania Heights.

Police confirmed she was found safe and well A R Hurst Reserve in Sylvania, just before 1.00pm.

EARLIER @ 11.30 AM | A MASSIVE air and land search involving the dog squad and police chopper is underway in southern Sydney this morning after an 11-year-old girl disappeared from her home.

The child was last seen around 7.30am today near Amaroo Street at Sylvania Heights.

She was wearing purple and aqua pyjamas and sneakers.

Concerns are being held for the young girl’s welfare due to her age and her disappearance being out of character.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police immediately.
